Play Helbreath on your Raspberry Pi [MMORPG]

🕐🕐 Duration: 2 to 3 hours
🔧🔧 Difficulty: Medium
🌟🌟🌟🌟 Interest: Hours of fun

Prequisite

Get Wine and Box86 running. Helbreath has been tested with WineHQ-5.0.2.
Download the Helbreath installer.
Install Helbreath with Wine (or install it on a foreign PC and copy the directory to your Pi)

First emulated MMORPG that I tested, Helbreath is rather well playable if you drop a few details. I will describe the settings below after a small introduction.

The settings are in 2 parts: the ones in the launcher, before the game in started and the ones in game.

For the launcher, the most critical setting is the video mode since full screen mode has graphical issues. Best is to do a windowed 640x480 doubled on large screens. Also avoid emulating DirectDraw. You are doing enough emulation like that.

For the ingame settings, since MMORPGs are all greedy in resources and Box86 isn't perfect in emulating sounds, its a good idea to tick away the sounds (and leave the music on) to get a better performance while keeping the ambiance. So let's now go to the settings.

Launcher settings

Resolution: 640 x 480

  • Windowed (Alt + Enter): ticked
  • Double Window Size: ticked
  • Unlock FPS: ticked
  • Multiple Monitor Fix: ticked

All others: unticked

In game settings

All the rest: unticked
